Description
DryFireMag®, LLC is excited to announce laser practice with the DryFireMag®’s unique feature of not having to rack the slide for consecutive practice shots. The Smart DryFireMag® and the Laser Ammo USA Inc. SureStrikeTM Cartridge by Laser Ammo have been designed to interact together. All other laser cartridges are activated by the pistol’s firing pin striking the cartridge or by the cartridge picking up the vibration of the release of the firing pin. Of course, in order to accomplish either of these two actions (firing pin strike or vibration), it is required that the slide of the pistol must be racked to the back of the pistol to reset the firing pin each time a shot is to be simulated. Manually racking the slide is what the DryFireMag® was designed specifically to avoid.
Now the technology of not racking the slide and the technology of the world of lasers has been married into one package. This makes it now possible to accomplish dryfire practice and analyze the accuracy of each shot visually and/or electronically.
There are two components that make up the Smart DryFireMag® and LLC Laser Ammo USA Inc. Laser system- the Smart DryFireMag® and the SureStrikeTM Cartridge by Laser Ammo Installation is simple. The batteries for the cartridge are installed into the cartridge, and it is screwed together. Make sure that the Smart DryFireMag®’s battery is fully charged. After making absolutely sure that the pistol is clear of any ammunition, the SureStrikeTM Cartridge by Laser Ammo is placed into the chamber of the pistol. Then, the Smart DryFireMag® is inserted into the pistol’s magazine well. Practice can now begin.
Features of the all new Smart DryFireMag:
- Works with multiple laser tracking simulators!
Trainers agree that dry fire practice is the best way to learn to shoot well. It makes the pistol a part of you. However, there is a real problem with dry fire practicing the standard way, and we all know what it is. When the trigger is activated and the firing pin is released, a completely non-typical action is then required. The shooter’s hand must be used to reset the firing pin by cycling the slide. Only then can the trigger return to its reset position. Can you stay on target while this is happening? Is this the muscle memory that you want to build? Absolutely not!
This problem is solved with our DryFireMag®. Now, with the DryFireMag®, when you activate your trigger, you get the feel and sound of the firing pin release. With both hands still in the firing position and staying on target, you simply let the DryFireMag® reset the trigger with a snap, and you are ready for your next “shot”. Now, that’s the kind of action you need to build the correct muscle memory! It has to be second nature when that real-life situation presents itself.
Now with the Smart DryFireMag® and SureStrikeTM Cartridge by Laser Ammo combo, laser practice can be performed without racking the slide.
Here’s another way to use your DryFireMag®. When you go to the range, slip your DryFireMag® into your pistol and “warm-up” with a few minutes of dry fire practice. Take your DryFireMag® out of your pistol, insert your loaded magazine and continue now with live practice.
If at any time during your practice, you experience a problem with your accuracy, simply replace your loaded mag with your DryFireMag® and (after a chamber check) practice for a while without any live fire recoil or report. Change back and forth from live fire to dry fire with great ease! Remember, always practice safe gun practices! Always know the state of your weapon. DryFireMag® LLC is in NO WAY responsible for your actions or how you use our products.
The DryFireMag®’s base plate is a bright blaze orange to let you easily distinguish it from any other magazine. When your DryFireMag® is not in your weapon, it’s stamp also clearly identifies it from any other magazine.

This mag and the laser that came with works! The fact that I don’t have to rack the slide every time to reset the trigger is made my dryfire practice a consistent thing to do. I had a goal to dryfire 100 shots per practice, this mag made it possible.
I have the 3.5 lbs trigger in my G19 and pull feels the same, have not tried the springs I ordered and I don’t think I need them.
I was skeptical about ordering after reading lots of reviews and the price but I “pull the trigger” and have no regrets.
I wish there was a mag for the G42.

Honestly has been a huge game changer for my dry fire shenanigans. Works great, super easy to set up, and now i have been dry firing with my little red laser everywhere and anywhere I go. 10 out of 10 will buy again.

Next level cool! been shooting at light switches and door knobs all afternoon

This combined with MantisX is a game changer! Very realistic and I was able to work on a more consistent trigger pull without the trip to the range or the expense of ammo.

I have used the Dry Fire every day since I received it. 500 + shots so fare and not a single problem. It beats all the other systems I have used over the many years I have been a shooter. A bit pricey but so far worth it.

Works great with glock 19 and mantisx and mantis academy apps/targets. Great dryfire solution. No more slide racking for each shot.

Works great! Very happy with it.

Works perfectly with my G17, G19, and G23. No need to cycle slide after each dry fire ‘shot’. Excellent practice tool when paired with SureStrike Laser Cartridge.

Best thing I’ve bought in a long time. I use it almost nightly to get some trigger time. I highly recommend.

Great product, needs initial adjustments. Great customer service!

Outstanding product and eliminating the need to re-rack the slide prevents unwanted muscle memory during dry fire practice. Very happy with my purchase. Make sure to care for the laser round that is provided with this kit because it’s unique rf capabilities are not standard with the laser rounds you can get from laserammo.com. Sfter talking with their tech support, there would need to be special arrangements to replace the round.

Easy to use. Works as described. Does not work with my other laser ammo laser. I didn’t expect it to.

Great trainer! I was able to use it with the mantis laser academy strait out of the box. The advantages are you aim with your own sights and you use your own gun. Minor disadvantage is that you are not using your gun’s trigger pull. The trigger pull ,however, is adjustable and is very close to the real trigger.. The kit is a bit pricey but, it appears to be built solid.

Great to be able to practice dry-fire without racking the slide every time

Tested it out on a friends Glock lately, and l absolutely love it! Any chance there will be a Walther PDP version? Would love to train with my service pistol..

This thing is amazing. Absolutely makes dry fire a pleasure. No more racking the slide, red laser makes it where you can use it with Mantis Laser Academy or any other laser apps. I don’t know of anything I’d change.

I absolutely love using the smart laser mag in conjunction with several VR Range systems that I’ve been testing out. The first one is from http://www.dryfireonline.com, you have a “sandbox” range through their website the laser will interact with using the Dryfire Online app. However, it requires the need of larger displays. Such as, computer HDMI to a projector/screen combo. Or a smart TV with an anti glare film so that the visible laser can be detected by the app. The other one is Virtual Shot and their hardware system/app combined with the laser dry fire mag. You can also have a “sandbox” VR range, without the need to use external displays as mentioned before. For content demonstrating the systems mentioned in conjunction with the product, follow me on IG @tactical_goku.

Perfect for being able to dry fire and get more precise. The entire family had fun. The amount of shots we did the first nights use paid for itself if we would have shot that amount of ammo.

Great improvement over manual racking the slide

I have the Smart DryFireMag (red laser version with the spring kit) for my Glock 43X and I’m using the LASR app. I’m a relatively new shooter (4yrs) and I’ve seen accuracy of improvement on the range because the DryFireMag is helping with my trigger control. Well worth the money if you want to improve your skills. Just placed an order for another one for my Glock 19!

Please make the smart mag for Sig 365. I have dry fired about 1,000 pulls at this point. 90% of my pulls have been with the Mantis printed off targets and app. It’s nice to have the option of different springs for the trigger pull. I can’t imagine using Mantis without the smart mag and laser. Smart mag seems to work flawless to this point with the Mantis. Only con so far would be that the mag does not drop out of magwell when the mag release is pushed. Would like to be able to practice reloads. I know that’s probably not really a main point of these mags. I just need to get smart mags for my wife and daughters 365 also, if and when they’re available.

This thing is awesome. Took me a while to get used too. It helped with my aim and trigger squeeze a lot. I’m more of a rifleman but I conceal carry. So fundamentals are important.

I have a couple other 9mm laser cartridges and they work fine, but the obvious shortcoming is that you have to rack after every trigger pull and that’s ok for certain drills such as reloads but any drill that requires multiple trigger pulls, well you need a DRYFIREMAG period.

I love it. It worked right out of the box. I didn’t even need to do any adjustments. It also works with my MantisX and Laser Academy. My lucky day.

This is the 2nd purchase. Upgraded to the smart mg with laser. Works awesome with my mantis x and mantis laser Academy. It’s great not having to rack the slide every time. You’re able to perform follow up shots when training. Worth every penny.

Just as Mr. Cook before me, I bought this Smart DryFireMag with red laser for use with Mantis Laser Academy. I had to do a trigger pre-travel adjustment as well as change the spring to the heavier 6-7.5 lb. to more closely replicate what I perceive my Palmetto State Armory Dagger’s trigger pull to be. It’s more that the DryFireMag is on the light side rather than my Dagger is actually a 7.5 lb. pull.
After all that being said, the Smart DryFireMag is a good tool eliminating the need to rack your slide after every shot during dry fire training.

Some of the best money I have spent to help me on my site alinement and triger control.

The red laser version is a perfect addition to a Mantis Laser Academy (my preferred) or Strikeman / Strikeman Pro setup. No more racking the Glock 19. Works every shot.
