Description
Trainers agree that dry fire practice is the best way to learn to shoot well. It makes the pistol a part of you. However, there is a real problem with dry fire practicing the standard way, and we all know what it is. When the trigger is activated and the firing pin is released, a completely non-typical action is then required. The shooter’s hand must be used to reset the firing pin by cycling the slide. Only then can the trigger return to its reset position. Can you stay on target while this is happening? Is this the muscle memory that you want to build? Absolutely not!
This problem is solved with our DryFireMag. Now, with the DryFireMag, when you activate your trigger, you get the feel and sound of the firing pin release. With both hands still in the firing position and staying on target, you simply let the DryFireMag reset the trigger with a snap, and you are ready for your next “shot”. Now, that’s the kind of action you need to build the correct muscle memory! It has to be second nature when that real-life situation presents itself.
Here’s another way to use your DryFireMag. When you go to the range, slip your DryFireMag into your pistol and “warm-up” with a few minutes of dry fire practice. Take your DryFireMag out of your pistol, insert your loaded magazine and continue now with live practice.
If at any time during your practice, you experience a problem with your accuracy, simply replace your loaded mag with your DryFireMag and (after a chamber check) practice for a while without any live fire recoil or report. Change back and forth from live fire to dry fire with great ease! Remember, always practice safe gun practices! Always know the state of your weapon. DryFireMag LLC is in NO WAY responsible for your actions or how you use our products.
The DryFireMag’s base plate is a bright blaze orange to let you easily distinguish it from any other magazine. When your DryFireMag is not in your weapon, its stamp also clearly identifies it from any other magazine.

I bought my DryFireMag last November as a birthday present for myself. The more I use it the more I learn about how the trigger on my XD-40 feels. Now I can feel the slack in the trigger, the “wall” just before the trigger breaks, and the reset after the shot. After using the DryFireMag for about six weeks, my son and I went to a local outdoor range where I was able to not only shoot faster, but more accurately and I had better control of the recoil when I fired my pistol. Of all of the things that I have brought for my XD-40, I should have started with a DryFireMag. I can honestly say that you SHOULD buy your DryFireMag as soon as possible. Stop second guessing yourself and buy it. You’ll be glad that you did. A friend of owned an indoor range told me that the only way that I was going to stop antispating the recoil was to practice dryfiring. He was right and the DryFireMag did the trick.

Great product. Love the Word of God that comes with it. If you had a laser that accompanied would be even better.

After looking at the DryFireMag website for a year, I finally ordered one to fit my XD-40. It arrived, I cleared my XD-40, cycled the slide, inserted the DryFireMag, and nothing. After calling tech support to adjust the set screw everything works perfectly!!!! My days of having to re-establish my grip after cycling the slide. If you don’t have a DryFireMag, you need to get one.

Works great in an xd 9, but WILL NOT WORK in an xd45ACP. After failure to work in the ACP I reread the listing, and realized this dryfire was designed for GAP only. This is an excellent product, and allows trigger control practice with my 9 in convenient places. Highly recommended.

Had for about a week. The resistance of the trigger feels the same as when the firing pin is activated. Adjusting the trigger is very easy. Overall does what it is intended to do.
My only issue, if you can say that, is when I use it with MantisX it doesn’t always pick up when I pull the trigger and sometimes counts both the trigger pull and release. To be fair this product was not designed to work with said product so just FYI.
As a side note was kinda taken back by all the christian literature it came with. Was not expecting that at all.

With the cost of ammo, dry fire training has become an even bigger benefit than it previously was. I love my DryFireMag for my XD and have it partnered with Mantis for even better training and feedback in the luxury of my own home. From the beginner to the pro, this is a great product to have for when you want to hone your skills or just can’t make it to the range.
This is also a great tool for teaching kids proper technique in a very safe and controlled way. I can practice with them and watch their trigger discipline without worrying about a misfire. It also boosts their confidence and engrains muscle memory for when they graduate to live fire.
I can honestly say this has been my best investment for my XD pistol and look forward to your product line expanding to more models.

I have read/watched many a review on the Dry Fire Mag. I was intrigued by the opportunity to not to have to rack the slide between shots. Build muscle memory on my carry weapons trigger pull and more. Not to mention the cost savings by not having to put rounds down range every time I had a chance to practice. I decided to invest in a dry fire system of which the Dry Fire Mag is a key component. I can shoot anywhere, anytime I want without using any live ammo. As a result I have fired just over 1000 rounds and improved my shooting tremendously. Now when I do want to live fire I don’t need to use my live ammo.
Because of the Dry Fire Mag I don’t have to come off target and rack the slide for every shot. Allowing me to be more consistent in my shot groupings. I can perform shot drills for time and get accurate results. I am able to sit and watch TV and practice my squeeze as long as I want and again I don’t have to rack the slide. I use the slide with both my Springfield XD 9’s. The standard and the subcompact. I works in either without a problem.
Finally, a product is only as good as the company that makes it. I want to tell you that the folks at Dry Fire Mag, the owners Stan and Sally, are as good as it gets. They have worked with me over the last several months to ensure my satisfaction. The product is top notch, never an issue, the postal service on the other hand leaves a lot to be desired. So order a mag for your favorite weapon and have some fun while you become a better shooter.
